The analyst conducted the survey with the aim of providing an estimate of IT spending in Taiwan at the end of 2021 across five major industries including manufacturing, construction, finance, commodities (retail and wholesale) and healthcare. The results are based on data from the IT Spending Survey in late 2021. Hundreds of IT companies in Taiwan were asked a series of questions about their spending habits, habits and plans.
The results show that information security (65%) is the top concern for most companies in the manufacturing industry when it comes to cloud adoption. Acquisition and maintenance costs are also a major concern for more than half of the companies surveyed (51%). More than 10% are concerned about hardware and software interoperability, product performance, the availability of internal IT staff, the time required to set up the systems, and the ease of use of the product.
