Biden Administration Urges Schools To Setup Vaccination Clinics!
On Monday, first lady Jill Biden and Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy would launch a campaign throughout the United States of America to promote vaccines for children. They are prepared to visit the Franklin Sherman Elementary School in McLean, Virginia.
The elementary school was the first in the history of the United States to administer polio vaccinations in 1954. They are visiting the school just after a few days when the concerned authorities have recommended the Covid-19 vaccines for children.
According to the White House, President Joe Biden would personally go to different pediatric vaccination clinics across the United States to emphasize and ensure vaccination for children over the coming weeks.
Simultaneously, Xavier Becerra, the Health and Human Services Secretary, and Miguel Cardona, the Education Secretary, are trying to send letters to different school districts throughout the country urging them to organize pediatric vaccination setups for the newly eligible students.
The concerned officials are stating to the school districts that they can use the billions of dollars in federal coronavirus relief money to show their support to the pediatric vaccination campaigns.
The administration of Joe Biden provides different tools to local school districts for helping them to be partnered with pharmacies for the administration of the Covid-19 vaccination shots.
The Biden administration has also asked school districts to help share more information about the benefits of the coronavirus vaccine with parents to get confidence for getting the vaccine for their children. This would also help remove any misinformation or rumors about the coronavirus vaccines from their minds.
According to the White House, the schools should host community conversations and provide fact sheets about the vaccines. The White House is also currently partnered with the American Academy of Pediatrics to hire local physicians to help share information based on science about vaccine shots.
After the approval of the Pfizer vaccine for kids between the age of five and eleven, approximately twenty-eight million kids have become eligible to get the vaccination. According to the White House, the federal government has gathered enough doses of the two shots vaccine for all the children.
According to a study on the Pfizer vaccine, in which 2,268 children took part, the health officials found that the vaccine was almost ninety-one percent effective in stopping the Covid-19 infections that are symptomatic. The shots were studied in thirty-one hundred vaccinated kids, and it concluded that the vaccine shots were safe, according to the data from the Food and Drug Administration.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the top infectious disease expert of the government, stated in a White House briefing that there are fewer chances for kids to develop severe Covid-19 symptoms. Still, the delta variant spreads the infection just as fast as in adults.
