Bungo Stray Dogs ended on June 28th, 2019, with its final episode. The Bungo universe has been eagerly awaiting the return of the series since then. Once upon a time, the series was considered one of the best anime of the decade.
The Cast, Story, And Release Date For The Upcoming Fourth Season
One of the hottest series of all time since its introduction in 2016, it has never failed to excite. As a part of HBO Max’s collection in 2020, the show created an impression on audiences all around the world.
An adaptation of Kafka Asagiri’s and Sango Harukawa’s Japanese manga Bungo Stray Dogs is available on DVD and Blu-ray from Warner Bros.
As a result of Kafka’s novel concept, which reimagined great dead authors and poets as young adults with supernatural abilities, this story was born. The plot revolves around a “Armed Detective Agency” tasked with keeping the Mafia at bay in the port city of Yokohama.
Overview Of The Bungo Stray Dogs Plot
Throughout the story, the protagonist, a young boy named Atsushi Nakajima, transforms into a hideous creature akin to a werewolf, or rather, a weretiger. Atsushi joins Osamu Dazai’s team in the Armed Detective Agency, where he will use his physical ability to solve mysterious mysteries.
In addition to being able to conjure objects from nothing, shift into predatory animals, and many other talents, each member of the team has a distinct set of skills and magic. As the story progresses, we learn more about Atsushi and his new role on the squad.
Cast Of “Bungo Stray Dogs”
Nakajima Atsushi, played by Uemura Yuto, is joined by Izumi Kyoka, played by Morohoshi Sumire, Nakahara Chuuya, played by Taniyama Kisho, and Dazai Osamu, played by Miyano Mamoru.
Yoshimasa Hosaya plays investigator Doppo Kunikida, Ranpo Edogawa is subbed by Hiroshi Kamiya as Chuya Nakahara, and Kensho Ono portrays the villain Ryunosuke Akutagawa.
Season 4 will most likely see many of the same actors and actresses return to reprise their parts, but no one can say for sure who will be returning to the big screen to reprise their roles.

Adapted from Wikipedia, the Cannibalism Arc introduces Rats in the House of the Dead, a criminal organization, in the final season episodes. Fyodor Dostoevsky, dubbed ‘Demon,’ is the organization’s leader. Fyodor’s involvement in the manga is ongoing, so fans may look forward to his reappearance in season 4.
As of April 2021, the Decay of Angels story arc is still running. A new criminal organization is based at the core of the story and comprises characters such as Nikolai Gogol and Ochi Fukuchi as well as Fyodor. There is speculation that this arc may serve as the basis for the season 4 storyline.
A New Episode Of Bungo Stray Dogs Has Been Released!
Season 4 was teased on the show’s official website with a banner and a countdown clock. On the official website, the release dates will be announced as soon as manufacturing begins. Season 4 was announced towards the end of the year in November 2021 after the release of the previous season, therefore we may expect an announcement of a release date at the end of this year.
