If you want to boost your energy and activity levels, you need to move out of a comfortable sofa and limit your screen time. It will reduce the sleep apnea risk, found by new research. Several activities are there which can be performed to reduce such risk and make ourselves physically fit rather than sleeping in front of the TV. 

Those people who watch less TV are more likely to be as compared to those who spend most of their time in front of the TV screen. They might get a sleep apnea risk or OSA. They need to limit their TV screen time and indulge themselves in other activities.

The more you work physically, the more you will be tired and get a good sleep. It is important to find a reason where you can move your body and reduce several factors which might be risky for your health. 

The research has shown that most of the participants have a sedentary lifestyle and most of them spend time on their sofa working on a laptop or watching TV. This leads to reduced physical exercise and an overall increase in weight as a consequence to which one has to face sleep apnea also.

The chemicals released while exercising can be seriously affected due to sitting on the sofa for a long term and hence one may not have sound sleep according to experts.

The study author, Tianyi Huang has said that “we have seen a clear connection between physical activity and the risk of OSA. Those people who follow the schedule to perform physical activities for at least 150 minutes per week are more likely to be active as compared to those who sleep in front of the TV on their sofa and binge watch shows. 

People with the disorder of OSA tend to stop breathing while sleeping and it might lead to huge health as well as cardiac risk. There should be a balance between the limit of TV they watch and the external activities they perform. Other things which come under OSA are snoring, excess tiredness, and disrupted sleep. These factors might influence your mental as well as physical health and make you annoyed. Other issues which have been noticed by the researchers are high BP, stroke, irregular heartbeat, diabetes, and heart attack. These cardiac diseases are directly impacted by messed sleep schedules. 

It is important for every human being to get enough sleep despite doing all the regular works. Several other factors cause OSA and harmful issues such as smoking, drinking, age, and obesity. Researchers have mentioned that those people who drink less and don’t smoke are healthy and have a low risk of OSA. But those who smoke and drink regularly have a 54% chance to get OSA. They should balance both things by adopting a healthy lifestyle. 

There are numerous activities such as sports, yoga, Exercise which will help people with cardiac and OSA risk to reduce and live a healthy life. The study has included around 138,000 men and women to research and found the sleep diagnosis factors. This study took 10-18 years to perform and found the outcome. 

They also mentioned that drinking, eating, and snacking while sleeping on the sofa and watching TV leads to weight gain and might become of the factors of OSA. It will increase the high BP and influence overall health. It is found that people around 30 to 69 aged have medium to high sleep apnea issues. It is suggested that even a small amount of physical activity will impact their health positively and reduce the risk of OSA.
