Idaho Hospitals To Buckle Up To Handle COVID Cases

If you look at the conditions of St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center, you will observe that the intensive care units have been filled with patients within a blink of an eye. The people have become surrounded with the prescriptions and the patients are occupied with tubes, wires, and mechanical machines for breathing purposes.

Most of the patients have been notified as unvaccinated and they continue to fight their battle against COVID hospitalized in a sedated and paralyzed state. The data reveals that most of them are middle-aged and are dependent on life support systems for their breaths.

The patients are in a very difficult position and are battling hard to fight against the deadly virus. One of the men was lying with a tanned forearm while a female, 5 months pregnant, was struggling for her life. Another pregnant woman was also lying in the vicinity and was struggling hard to get more air into her ravaged lungs.

Idaho hit a grim COVID-19 trifecta this week. As it happened, the people were getting hospitalized increasingly, emergency rooms were becoming full, and there was a large number of ICU patients. As per the medical reports, the estimated number of infections will reach 30,000 by mid-September.

It is a time of crisis and both the administration and people need to keep working in the right direction. People need to get vaccinated as soon as possible because this is the only cure right now for the existing situation.

Idaho continues to fight with the shortage of staff and hospital beds. Further, it holds the lowest vaccination rate in the nation. This is something which needs to be taken into account and both officials and citizens have to be responsible for that. The healthcare workers at Idaho are now becoming passionate and desperate to follow the standard units of care and focus on saving the lives of people as much as they can.

St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center invited The Associated Press into its restricted ICUs this week in hopes that sharing the dire reality would prompt people to change their behavior. Looking at the conditions, it has been analyzed that the situations are becoming worse and several people are losing lives that could have been prevented. It ultimately leads to a loss of hope in an individual.

The nurses and other staff are also keeping a check on their patients properly. They handle their condition with care and make sure that they are comfortable. They make sure that no tubes or wires are mishandled so that patients breathe easily. A lot of feeding tubes have been placed that help patients in easy eating and drinking processes.

A lot of medications have been provided and dozens of bags hang filled with drugs in patients. The doctors too struggle hard to pay attention to various patients. These tough times also test their patience and dedication to their job. They get overwhelmed as well by handling the number of patients and have to keep themselves safe as well to treat others.
