The Kingdom 2 live-action movie sequel reveals new characters in the upcoming film in a new Kingdom 2 trailer. The story of Kingdom is best known for its anime TV series, which has already reached Kingdom Season 4 in 2022.
Now it’s gearing up for the release of the next live-action movie with a new teaser cheering all the new characters jumping straight to the big screen. Hara’s original manga has been a huge hit since its debut in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump.
It’s only gotten bigger with the release of its original anime adaptation (which is now in the middle of its fourth season, which airs this spring). It also debuted its live-action cinematic image a few years ago.

Kingdom live action sequel crew and more
Shunsuke Sato (who previously directed Bleach, Gantz and is currently linked with Legendary Pictures’ My Hero Academia film) returns to direct the live-action sequel to Kingdom. He co-wrote it with original series creator Yasuhira Hara and One Piece Film: Red author Tsutomu Kuroiwa.
The theme song “Ikiro” is performed by the popular band Mr. Children.
Kingdom 2 is based on the manga series by Yasuhisa Hara and is set in China during the Warring States period. The narrative portrays two young men, one aspiring to become a commander-in-chief and the other to become Emperor of China.
Unfortunately, while Kingdom II is slated to hit Japanese theaters on July 16, it’s not yet known if it will get an international release. It happened in the first movie, so there’s a chance it might happen again!
