Epig Brewing plans to open a La Jolla location at 1273 Prospect St. by the end of the summer. The 1,300-square-foot tasting room replaces a former art gallery and features a decking area with ocean views.
It will join two other Apig tasting rooms in the San Diego area.

Bye bye piadine
After nearly two years at The Village, the Ciao Ciao Piadina restaurant closed in late June and is being redeveloped into an Italian market and wine bar at 510 Pearl St.
Giacomo Pizzigoni, managing partner of Milano Five Group, which operates Ambrogio15 in Pacific Beach and Semola in La Jolla, said the concept is being “transformed into something we love to do, which is quality Italian produce.”
He said his Ambrogio15 customers wanted “a place where they can buy our natural wines, for which we are exclusive carriers, and the products we use in our restaurants,” such as 30-year-old balsamic vinegar and meat and cheese specialties. .
“When you eat at Ambrogio15, you can find the products that we use in this new market and take them home,” said Pizzigoni.
Renovations at Ciao Ciao Piadina begin in September, and Pizzigoni said he expects to open in November. In addition to a retail market, it will offer wines by the glass or flights, as well as small bites like meats, cheeses and breads.

Bird Rock Surf Shop is offering 10 percent off all clothing items. Others offer one-time promotions and special offers for app owners, such as B. Dollar mimosa.

“We’re all disappointed with the boarded-up storefront in La Jolla,” Fineman said. “But this is an opportunity to help those people and bring more traders to the community.”
