Naseeruddin Shah was born on July 20, 1950, to a Nawab family in Punjab. Shah has three brothers from Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, where he was born and raised. Although he was born in Uttar Pradesh, Shah spent much of his childhood in Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.
