OpenEX names industry veteran Geoff Volinetz to oversee demand-side platform relationships

Most recently, as senior vice president of development, Wolinetz led the growth of the connected TV business at Chalice, a marketing and data science company that helps develop custom algorithms for DSPs.

“Geoff brings a strong supply-side perspective, particularly in radio and television advertising, which will be invaluable as we grow our DSP business,” said John Gentry, Chief Executive Officer of OpenX. “As OpenX continues to take a more holistic approach within the digital advertising value chain and reduce friction between supply and demand, Geoff’s previous experience on both sides of the equation will help us connect these dots.”

Wolinetz’s career has been focused on building relationships with inventory suppliers and helping them monetize their businesses. Prior to Chalice, he was Senior Vice President of Client Relations and Head of Revenue at Comcast Corp.’s FreeWheel, which enables all facets of the new TV ecosystem. Prior to that, he worked for Turner Broadcasting, Inc. He spent 16 years supporting advertising and operational services in various senior positions.
