Signature drinks from the 1920’s are available for purchase, as well as standard cocktails, beer, and wine. The evening will conclude with a special champagne toast in celebration of 95 years of service to Lincoln County.
Lawn games, a fun photo booth, antique cars, fire pits and a silent auction add to the celebrations. The hosts encourage participants to dress like they did in the 1920s to add more flair to the evening and to honor 1927 when the group was formed.
The event takes place rain or shine as it takes place under a large tent. Tickets cost $50 and can be purchased online at lincoln-home.org or by calling (207) 563-3350.
Lincoln Homes began with a small group of dedicated women who saw a need to provide homes for the elderly in Lincoln County. His vision started with $7 and grew through the generosity of one community member, George J. Woodman, who donated $15,000 to purchase the original home. The Lincoln Home has been the home of many Lincoln County residents, as well as people from other states who love Maine and the lifestyle. Lincoln Homes have always been well known. Lincoln Home Outreach is an icon of support for Lincoln County seniors through educational and cultural programs.
Over the years, Lincoln Home has evolved and evolved to meet the diverse needs, expectations and changes of the last century. Additions and modifications have been implemented to support the lifestyle for vibrant seniors. Harbor View Cottages was designed to provide a home for community members with memory difficulties and our One2One Care supports seniors who choose to stay at home.
This year, donations and proceeds from the group’s 2022 summer festivals will help replace the house’s old roof. The Lincoln Home legacy has existed for 95 years because of the collaboration and support of personal and corporate members in our community.
