Despite the discontinuation of these character iterations, Warner Bros. has released a new two-movie collection of Man of Steel and Black Adam on the Microsoft Store. This appears to be another mixed message for DC fans, some of whom previously tried to fire James Gunn with tweets with the hashtag #FireJamesGunn in December 2022 after the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director dumped a new, younger man Stahl promised him an upcoming self-penned Superman movie.
Meanwhile, the status of other Snyderverse characters (like Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman) is currently unknown — which only Warner Bros. does. Debuting the Man of Steel and Black Adam bundle is all the more confusing. The two-movie collection could be seen as a respectful farewell to two titans of a franchise, neither of whom are expected to return — at least not any time soon.
