Although April Troost’s character only appeared in two episodes in the Law & Order universe, she has accomplished a lot in her short span of time. April is played by Estella Warren, best known for portraying the future earth mute Daena in Tim Burton’s Planet of the Apes reboot. Her character on “Law & Order” is a seemingly innocent rape victim who is actually a con artist who steals men’s sperm to impregnate himself in order to trick desperate couples willing to pay a hefty fee for a healthy baby to pay. Not only did the role allow Warren to step into the role of a manipulative criminal, but she also collaborated with Lynda Carter, who played her mother on the series.
Before her career took off, Warren definitely proved that she had what it took to be in front of the camera. The Canadian-born actress (via TheFamousPeople) started her career as a model and has been on the covers of magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Vogue and Vanity Fair. Unfortunately, although Warren has enjoyed success in television and film over the years, she ran into some legal troubles. The Huffington Post reported that she was arrested back in 2011 for driving under the influence and reportedly hitting three parked cars. Warren was arrested again in 2017 on domestic violence charges after she allegedly threw cleaning liquid at her boyfriend during an argument.
