ZTE earns a CDP-B rating for climate change action and supplier engagement. According to data reported on the CDP website, more than 40 major suppliers in ZTE’s supply chain have developed decarbonization strategies.

For office operations, ZTE has launched nine energy-saving projects in China, saving 21.56 million kWh of electricity annually. ZTE reduced packaging material consumption by 689.1 tons with a design that reduces packaging weight.

By 2021, ZTE had established 140 recycling sites worldwide. In China, the company optimized 4 centralized waste recycling and processing platforms and works closely with more than 10 leading environmental protection institutions in the industry, achieving an overall recycling rate of 97%. Through many years of intensive cooperation with more than 150 overseas environmental protection institutions, ZTE has ensured that the recycling business meets the local environmental protection requirements of different countries and achieved an overall recycling rate of 98%.
